Eating out when following a gluten free diet can be a real bummer. After all, ordering salad after salad because you can’t eat anything else is enough to make anyone a little sad. Sometimes you just want a stinkin’ burger (with an actual bun)!
I admit there’ve been times I have broken down and cried because there wasn’t anything else I could order. I know it’s not a huge thing, but it just gets pretty darn frustrating sometimes!
So when I find a place that actually has good gluten free options, I want to shout it from the rooftops! And in this post, I am so excited to share a tasty treasure I recently discovered at Culver’s plus their complete and updated gluten free menu.
So grab a handful of napkins, and let’s dive in!
Culver’s Gluten Free Bun Review 2022
AKA: The Bun That Blew Me Away!
There’s a Culver’s next to the gym my daughter goes to, and we had stopped by several times to grab a quick bite before her classes.
Their menu didn’t mention any gluten free options, and silly me, I just automatically assumed they didn’t have any and resigned myself to another salad.
One day, however, I was searching for a place with a good gluten free hamburger bun, and learned that they had a gluten free bun at Culver’s. What?! So the next time we went in, I gave it a try and all I can say is, WOW!
Normally, I fall under the camp of “beggars can’t be choosers” when it comes to gluten free buns (people with no other options must be content with what is offered), but this bun was so good, it didn’t feel like a compromise at all! It even came heated in its own sealed bag to prevent cross-contamination (see the photo above). It was soft and warm and absolutely delicious.
But wait there’s more (does this phrase remind everyone of a cheesy infomercial or is it just me)! Not only is Culver’s gluten free bun the best tasting GF bun I have tried, it’s also only $1.20 extra. This means you can get a double ButterBurger with gluten free bun for under $7.
Bravo Culver’s, bravo!
